CareerReady Digital is an industrial career and technical-learning resource center focused on Process Operations and Industrial Instrumentation & Controls.
It was created by Jeffre Brown, an industrial professional with more than 30 years of process-operations experience, to help students, graduates, job applicants, career changers, new hires, and working industrial professionals find practical career-preparation and learning resources in one place.
Experience Behind the Resource Center
Jeffre's background comes from real industrial process-operations work in refinery and process-plant environments. That experience includes the day-to-day responsibilities operators face: monitoring process conditions, responding to alarms and equipment issues, performing field checks, following operating and safety procedures, communicating across shifts, and coordinating with maintenance and instrumentation personnel.
The Process Operations resources on CareerReady Digital are grounded in that real-world operating perspective. Instrumentation & Controls resources are presented from an industrial-operations and career-preparation perspective, reflecting the systems operators work with and the close working relationship between process operators and instrumentation technicians. These materials are not presented as a substitute for formal instrumentation training, certification, licensing, or employer-specific procedures.
Our Mission
The mission is to make industrial career information easier to understand, easier to find, and more useful to people preparing for real plant careers and continuing to grow after they are hired.
CareerReady Digital brings together career guides, hiring-test and interview preparation, technical books, downloadable study resources, workplace-development materials, and selected industrial gear while keeping education and career preparation at the center of the site.
Two Connected Career Paths
Process Operations and Instrumentation & Controls are closely connected in refineries, chemical plants, terminals, utilities, LNG facilities, manufacturing sites, and other process industries. Operators rely on accurate measurement and control, while instrumentation technicians install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain the instruments and control systems that help keep processes safe and reliable.
